Take a photo or draw a picture of yourself in the snow. Can you label the
picture with snowy words or write a sentence about what you are doing?
Your grown-ups can help you by saying the words slowly with you to help you hear
some of the sounds to write.
Imagine you were explaining to a friend how to make a snowman. What instructions would you give them?
Can you write your instructions down? (Have a go at spelling tricky words yourself).
Remember to start each instruction with a number, and check that you have used capital letters and full stops in your work.
Now try to follow your instructions and build a fantastic snowman!
Take a photo or draw a picture of you next to your snowman, and bring your instructions and photos into school next week.
Have fun!!
Using your school reading book (or other book if you like)
Keep practising your times tables and number bonds- to 10, 20, 100 etc
If
you have any questions you can email Mr Garner at
mrgarner@hotmail.co.uk. I don't use
this email very often anymore but I cannot access my school email from home.
I will check it through the day and answer when I am online.
While school is shut please research the author Roald
Dahl.
You could do this in a variety of ways:
When you have done this write some interesting facts
about Roald Dahl. We will be looking at his books as soon as school opens so
bring this work in with you.
If you have time and can find a Dahl book, you could
read it and decide what you like or don’t like about it and make some notes to
bring to school.
Please do some research into rain forests.
Practise your times-tables and time these if possible. (Use a three minute timer to do as many as possible from a random mix of tables for their own individual level - set by your parent).

We hope you are
enjoying your time in the snow and staying warm and safe. Here are a few tasks
to keep you busy over the next few days. From Miss Steel and Mrs Williams.
On Tuesday you began to
find out about the Queen’s family tree. We would like you to find out
information about your own family and then create your own family tree. Try to
go back as far as you can and spend time presenting the information carefully
and neatly. Use a large sheet and a ruler for drawing lines. If you can add
pictures and photos please do so.
(You may need some help to present this accurately)
The next task is to produce a fact page about the
early years of Queen Elizabeth the 2nd (before she was Queen)
Make sure you present
the information neatly (use a line guide and draw a margin on plain paper) so
the work can be put into your topic folder. You will need to carry out some
research and take these questions into consideration. Add pictures if you can.
