FS & KS1 Easter Egg Competition

Dear Parents

We would like to invite all Reception and Key Stage 1 children to decorate an Easter Egg for a competition being held in school.  The children can choose which type of egg they decorate – it could be a hardboiled egg, an egg made of paper-mache, an egg shaped biscuit, or you might have other egg-citing ideas! The children may need your help initially to boil the egg / cook the biscuit / use paper-mache, but when they are decorating the egg it should be their own work, with minimal parental help.

The competition is being held on the first day of back after the Easter Holidays, Monday 16th April. On that morning, the children should bring their decorated eggs into their hall where all of Reception and Key Stage 1 children will have a chance to look at everyone’s fantastic eggs.

We have some secret judges who are already very excited about the entries that will be received this year. There will be a first, second and third place.

Entries must be clearly labelled with your child’s name, class and year group.

We hope that the children will enjoy this activity and look forward to seeing the decorated eggs on the first day of term.

Yours sincerely

Mr Garner
