Sport Relief Sponsorship Form 2018

Dear Parents

This year we are really excited to be raising money for Sport Relief 2018. As one of the UK’s biggest fundraising events, Sport Relief brings the entire nation together to get active, raise cash and change lives.

The nation’s favourite sports’ day will be kicking off in schools and nurseries from Saturday 17th– Friday 23rd March.

To do our bit and raise money we will be:

Holding an army assault course race
(In the woods behind school)

On Friday 23rd March (individual year group times to be confirmed) the children will do laps of the 0.25 mile loop in the woods – there will be house points on offer as a school competition and they will raise sponsorship outside of school for Sport Relief.

Parents are encouraged to come and watch and help marshal the course.

All times will be confirmed soon but in the meantime please start collecting sponsorship on the form attached.

The children can come to school dressed appropriately for an assault course. This can be army ‘camo’ gear or old sport’s clothes they don’t mind getting muddy! In the event of bad weather please send a change of clothes as well, but as it’s Sport Relief this should be ‘Sporty’ as well.

The money raised by the public is spent by Sport Relief to help people living incredibly tough lives, both at home in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries. To find out more about Sport Relief visit sportrelief.com/schools.

We will be using Sport Relief as a teaching opportunity so that our pupils can learn about the issues children across the world face, and how the money we raise can help them. We also have Professor Greg Whyte coming in to deliver our assembly fresh from his other Sport Relief commitments!

We really appreciate your support and hope that you’ll have fun helping our school raise lots of money for Sport Relief.

Yours sincerely,

Mr Garner
