Welcome Back!

Dear Parents,

May I firstly wish you all a very Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and feel refreshed for another year.

In the spirit of resolutions and new beginnings I would like to encourage you all to take time to consider how you and your children arrive at school. There has been much in the media about healthy lifestyles and tweaks we can make to our lives to improve health and wellbeing. As a school we have introduced the Daily Mile to improve the children’s health and wellbeing. Perhaps parking a little bit further away from the congested areas of the school could be one small step you consider making.

In addition to this, the children’s safety must be the first priority for all concerned. It has come to my attention that there are a number of people parking opposite the entrance to Kingsley Drive causing traffic flow problems. I do understand that there are pressures to get to work or your next destination but is compromising the safety of a child by parking irresponsibly or driving in an inappropriate manner really worth that extra minute or so?

Please take the time to consider your journey time, location and appropriateness of parking as well as driving style when in close proximity to the school to ensure the safety of the school and local community.

Many thanks for your consideration.

Mr Garner
