Year 3 Cinema Trip

Dear Parents/Guardians

Year 3 are fortunate enough to have the opportunity to take advantage of National Schools Film Week this year where cinemas all around the country are showing free screenings of certain films. We will be seeing the new ‘Horrible Histories – Rotten Romans’ (PG) film. Back in the classroom, this will be linked to our Romans topic we will be focusing on in the spring term. We will be seeing the film on Tuesday 19th November. We should be back at school around 12.15pm in time for lunch. The tickets for the showing are free but we ask for a small fee of £3.50 to cover the coach.

Please pay online using parent pay. Paying for this trip does also count as permission to go. As the visit takes place within school hours, then under the terms of the 2002 Education Reform Act no charge can be made by the school for the visit. May I therefore invite you to make a voluntary contribution of £3.50 via Parent Pay to cover the cost.  All children will be able to take part in the visit regardless of whether parent(s) have been able to make a contribution. However, if we do not receive a sufficient sum in voluntary contributions the visit will have to be cancelled since we could not cover the cost from the school funds.

Many thanks

Mr Farina and Miss Perry
