YR China Day

Dear Parents

As part of our learning this term, we are delighted to have been able to organise a China day. On this day, Jih Wen, our Chinese visitor, will talk to the children about Chinese New Year in an assembly just for them. Then they will have a ribbon dancing workshop in the morning followed by a language and writing workshop in the afternoon.

The session will take place on Wednesday 13th February. If the children would like to, they could dress up in a Chinese costume or wear red, yellow and black.

As the session takes place during school hours under the terms of the 2002 Education reform act no charge can be made by the school for the session. We therefore invite you to make a voluntary contribution of £8.50 to cover the costs. All children will be able to take part in the session, regardless of whether parents have been able to make a contribution. However, if we do not receive a sufficient sum in the voluntary contributions, the event will have to be cancelled since we could not cover the cost from the school funds.

Please pay on-line via SchoolMoney by 1st February.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs Collins Miss Avery Mrs Higgins
