This is it people....the very last maths curriculum lesson for Year 6 this year.  To say we are proud of all your hard work in maths this year would be the biggest understatement in the WORLD!  No one works harder at their maths than our Year 6 family and Miss Doncow and I cannot believe how far you have come.  Today is an Algebra Review. Just have a go, miss out any questions you don't understanding.  You are amazing!

Mrs P has prepared this powerpoint with useful links for further explanations of algebra.  For those who are enjoying algebra and would like an extra challenge, she has attached some worksheets showing SATs-style algebraic questions.  Using these links and worksheets is optional - it is not part of the set school work.

Monday 20th April 2020

Welcome back everyone.  Here is your maths for today and your new arithmetic paper for your weekly fluency. This should be done in parts at the beginning of each maths lesson.  You were given a paper copy of the test before school broke up.  If you do not have it anymore, ask your parents/carers to download it from here or open the document and write the answers in your journal.

There is a video uploaded where Mrs Puddephatt runs through the lesson.  If you would like 1-to-1 help, contact your class teacher through Seesaw.

We are starting a new maths unit today - Graphs and Averages.  This unit often represents a key way in which maths is used once you leave school.

Don't forget the final push for the latest Times Tables Rock Star battle between Ash and Hawthorn.  It closes at 3.15pm today.  The result could go either way at the moment, so get battling!

Thursday 2nd April 2020

Here is your maths for today...

Don't forget that the Times Tables Rock Star Battle between Hawthorn class and Ash class starts today at 8.45am and closes tomorrow, Friday, at 3.15pm.  If you have forgotten your login details, let us know - we can resend these details to you. smiley

Today's maths everyone - woo hoo!

Tuesday 31st March 2020

Monday 30th March 2020

Here is your maths lesson for today.  You were given a printed copy of Arithmetic paper 3, which you will use this week for fluency.  If you have lost it, please ask your parents to print it out.

Friday 27th March 2020

After you have done your arithmetic fluency, total up your scores for the week out of 40.  Did you improve on last week's score? Don't worry if you did not.  It's all great practice.  Have a look and see which areas you need more practice on.  If you want me to upload a practice sheet in that area, message me on Seesaw.  Mrs P

Thursday 26th March 2020

Wednesday 25th March 2020

Maths - Tuesday 24th March 2020

For fluency, please use the arithmetic paper that was posted under Monday but do the next section of questions which you are told to complete in today's powerpoint.

Maths - Monday 22nd March 2020

Monday 23rd March 2020

Maths will be posted daily. Without SATs, we have a bit more time to go in-depth with each remaining curriculum area.  The Position and Movement unit has been broken down for you.  If you have already done the Workbook section indicated, do the other WORKBOOK ADDITION sheet.

The work saved is a Powerpoint, which you can work through as we would in class (slide by slide) then do your workbook work where indicated.  If you parents prefer to print, there is a pdf also saved which may print better.

Let me know on Seesaw if there is any problems/comments.

Many thanks,  Mrs P
