Please read daily from a reading book or other text.  Remember that it is important to both read to yourself and be listened to whilst reading aloud.  Take time to discuss new vocabulary when reading.

(If you run out of reading material, there is a list of links to e-books posted on the year group page.)

Author Offerings

Many authors want to be involved with encouraging children to read and write. See this list for details!

Reading Task W/C 30.03.20

Hopefully you have all now finished reading The Boy at the Back of the Class. If not, please finish it first.

This week we would like you to write a book review for the book. If you would like to, you could also record it and post it on seesaw as a video.

Your book review needs to include the following information:

  • 1. Title and author of the book.
  • 2. An exciting summary of the book that grabs your audience's attention.
  • 3. A gripping hook about why they should read the book.

We will also assign a project on Seesaw to make a Book Review Movie Trailer. If you would like to take on this challenge instead of (or as well as) doing the Boy at the Back of the Class, please feel free.
